Carl Frampton Wants Revenge on Santa Cruz

Former two division three time world champion Carl “Jackal” Frampton wants to win title in another division and secure a trilogy with reigning WBA “Super” World Featherweight champion Leo Santa Cruz anywhere after Leo Santa Cruz refused to travel in Belfast for the third fight.

“I’d like to win a title in another weight division, I’d like to avenge the loss to Santa Cruz too,” he said.
I’m a two-weight and a three-time world champion but a four-time world champion sounds good too.”
“I have already over-achieved, I’ve done more than I ever thought I could. I just wanted to become a world champion when I turned professional.

“I still want to do a bit more. I’ll be a bit disappointed if I don’t win another title.” told Frampton to The Daily Star
30 year old Frampton (23-1,14KOs) of Belfast, UK is scheduled to back in the ring to fight Mexican Andres Gutierrez (35-1-1,25KOs) at SSE Arena in Belfast this coming July 29 in a non title- twelve round bout.
Frampton also eyeing potential bout with IBF title holder Lee Selby but first he has to deal with Gutierrez.
“This guy (Andres Gutierrez) is made for me. He comes forward, hands up, aggressive. I love that.”

“If I could pick someone who is perfect for me this guy would be it. He’s a good fighter though so I will have to be on my game.”
