Watch Out Boxing Promoters, UFC Could Eventually Do a Boxing Event

UFC, thinking of putting boxing match under their event

The 48-year-old president of the UFC Dana White recently appeared on a podcast hosted by Wallstreet Journal as he talks about MMA, UFC and other things that includes promoting a real boxing event.
I could see bringing boxing under our umbrella and trying to see what we could do with that, I could see doing that. – Dana White said during an interview on the Wall Street Journal’s The Unnamed Podcast.
It is no secret that Dana White is also a fan of the Sweet Science. He has been one of the well-known followers of boxing and recently, he himself was part of a boxing event when MMA Fighter Conor McGregor faced Boxer Floyd Mayweather Jr.
The President of UFC certainly had disrupted the fight game started when he created the Ultimate Fighting Championship and now it has grown bigger, and they continue to create new innovation and disruption in the marketplace and it looks like they are not done.

Personally, I think a boxing match inside the cage could happen anytime soon, it’s just a matter of time. After all, the Octagon resemble a ring more than the boxing ring that’s really square shaped.
Check out the Podcast below.

Dana White: Conor McGregor’s Next Opponent Will Be… | TMZ Sports

If Conor McGregor isn’t going to mix up “MONEY” inside the ring then what’s next for him?
Dana White wants Conor’s next fight to be in the UFC in MMA and said that McGregor will be fighting the winner of Khabib vs Ferguson who will face each other at UFC 209 in March for the interim lightweight title.
So to the fight fans who wants to take a crack in the boxing world of 2017, Dana White is adamant that the McGregor vs Mayweather matchup is far from happening.

Dana White has an update on the status of the Conor McGregor-Floyd Mayweather mega fight … “WE ARE NOWHERE.”

UFC Has Been Sold for $4 billion?!

The rumors about the biggest MMA promotion in the world appear to be true. Majority owners Frank and Lorenzo Fertitta and Pesident Dana White reportedly accepted the offer. UFC for $4 billion is all over the internet.

The Fertitta brothers and Dana White, bought the UFC in 2001 for a reported $2 million. The three were able to grow it into a global phenomenon. Was $4 billion enough or no?

The group who bought has no official confirmation yet but some reports that it is WME-IMG, the Dalian Wanda, The Kraft Group and Tencent Holdings Limited.

President Dana White is reportedly staying in the company but until when is the question and his role as well.

Looking forward to a new owner who can hopefully make UFC better. As a fan, I hope if this move is true that UFC stop the deal with Reebok and go back to with sponsors on their shorts classic style. And that UFC becomes sports franchises like NBA or NFL. To have a fighters union and a monthly salary.

How about you fight fans, what changes would you like to happen if the speculation is true?

Dana White thinks Pacquiao vs Marquez 4 is crazy

Dana White so outraged about the fact that Manny Pacquiao will be fighting Juan Manuel Marquez for the fourth time and not Floyd Mayweather jr. In a recent radio interview, Dana White the president of the UFC was asked about how he feels about the fight and he immediately show his distaste about the fight. I know how he feels, boxer  nowadays don’t just fight for honor but mostly for money and that includes our very own Manny Pacquiao. Can you blame the boxers for having their own criteria of who they want to fight, I don’t  think so. We know the reason why this fight was made, Its all about the money baby!

What do you think about Marquez vs Pacquiao fight?

Dana White hacked infromation here, Angry at hacker!

I should probably not write about this for reasons that I don’t want to get my hands dirty with UFC and that I may get another email from Dana White’s Zuffa that I am infringing against UFC again! , but what the heck he got a lot bigger problems now especially with his personal information floating around the internet.
For those who don’t know Dana White’s company is relentlessly and consistently pursuing all website that is showing his PPV event for free and making the follow up to ensure that these website go down for stealing their PPV events.
Hacker Ugnazi strike back by hacking the UFC website and releasing personal info of Dana White. Oh yeah the war is on between Dana White and the hackers.
Let see what Dana White have to say about all of this:
from Yahoo news
“Keep hacking our site, do it again. Do it tonight,” said White. “These guys look like terrorists now and a bill that was about to die, is about to come back.”
The hacker taking credit for the UFC hit, @joshthgod, went a different route after the challenge, posting White’s personal info, including a Social Security number, a list of residential addresses, a vehicle identification number and a personal phone number.
That followed a tweet that said White is now the target.
“@danawhite We don’t want your site anymore. We are going after YOU! Follow me for tonights exciting events! #ufc #sopa #acta #pipa,”
White said the hackers are only hurting their own cause by alerting politicians that there’s a serious issue. He’s willing to risk his own safety to stop the online pilfering.
“Is SOPA the perfect bill? No, it’s not. The only thing that we’re focused on is piracy. Piracy is stealing. If you walk into a store and you steal a gold watch, it’s the same as stealing a pay-per-view. I don’t care what your twisted, demented idea of stealing is,” White said. “These kids who grew up on the Internet never had to pay for anything, so they don’t think that you should have to.”
White closed by saying he’s not afraid of the Internet, it’s where cowards live.

To: Dana White and Zuffa, LLC

Dana and Friends,
Today I received another DMCA complaint against my site “POWCAST.NET coming from Zuffa, LLC sent by MiMTiD Corp. subject Google REPEAT Notice of Copyright Infringement from Zuffa, LLC.

I have deleted all post with videos, pictures of anything directly related to UFC before but then again you send me another complaint, What are you talking about? can you tell me which of my post August 23 qualified for Copyright Infringement?

UFC and Mixed Martial Arts is a growing sports and I congratulate you and your group for managing it well, in fact let me extend and say good job for making a deal with Fox. Now you will grow more and more and have more  and more website or blogger to feature your materials and follow UFC. Great for the sports. Well done.
Don’t you think going on small guys like me is a little too much. I am not asking for you to allow me to post videos of the fights or any of your materials but come one if you are referring to this post “LOL Video Tale of Chael Sonnen” don’t you think its too much. I write down some of my own words and embedded the video from youtube. You tube! I should be able to embed it right? and dont you think you should chase down the uploader of the video on You tube. What is it or what post?
Anyways I will try very hard not to infringe any of your rule and your rule only because other sports allows it. So if you be so kind sending me a direct letter to my email powcaster@gmail.com and perhaps letting me know of ways on how I can still help hype up and promote UFC or MMA with out any of your infringement notice that will be great. Frankly its very irritating especially when I see the bigger website continue to do it.
Better if you just give me authority to post some of your materials. hehehe!
Dana White I like your UFC! peace! Oh Strikeforce too.

Arum is nothing but a greedy pig – UFC White

“He’s nothing but a greedy pig,” UFC President Dana White told Yahoo Sports columnist Kevin Iole. “And his jealousy shows non-stop.”
Bob Arum is a jealous moron. Bob Arum had the ability to do great things for the sport of boxing. I don’t know if he wasn’t smart enough to do what we did or whatever, but when we first came out with this thing, this guy laughed at us. He said how stupid the Fertittas were and that this thing was ridiculous and it would never be a sport.
Arum earlier told ESPN.com that UFC’s Fox debut on Nov. 12 would not affect viewership for the Pacquiao-Marquez pay-per-view.
“As far as we’re concerned, it is irrelevant,” Arum said. “If Fox was to put on a top movie that night, it might be more competition. If Fox put on Manchester United that night, it would be more competition.”

Dana White knows?

by: powsalud|powcast.net

Dana White knows that Filipino’s are good fighters look at Mark Munoz and Brandon Vera. They have done pretty good in MMA right?  That  is why its no surprise that Dana White would consider doing a Filipino version of his Ultimate Fighter here in the Philippines.(source)
This is good news, but why do Dana White look upset in the picture? I guess He is thinking how of how he can get rid of Pinoys who do illegal live streams of UFC PPV fights. Well that is a whole different story.

Will we ever see an MMA tournament in the Empire State?

Will we ever see a UFC tournament in the Empire State?
This question remains to be unanswered as MMA continues to fight to legalize Mixed Martial Arts in New York. The local officials are still divided as to whether to legalize it or not.
The Coalition to legalize Mixed Martial Arts in New York rallied last Feb 8 to educate the public on the sport. The rally was held on Sheldon Silver’s office in Lower Manhattan. Veteran fighters Frank Shamrock and Tara LaRosa, as well as Strikeforce heavyweight champion Alistair Overeem was there.

‘The Ultimate Fighter’ expansion to start in Philippines

source: abs-cbnnews.com

Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) President Dana White is eyeing the international expansion of the reality TV show, The Ultimate Fighter (TUF), this year.

White said the expansion will begin in the Philippines.

“This year, I’m probably pretty sure the first one’s going to be in the Philippines,” he said in Examiner.com.

White made the announcement during Tuesday’s (Wednesday in Manila) conference call for UFC 127: B.J. Penn vs. Jon Fitch.

TUF is an American reality television series and mixed martial arts (MMA) competition produced by Spike TV and UFC. The show features unknown, professional MMA fighters, and follows them as they train and compete against each other for a prized contract with the UFC.

The show has had 12 seasons since it began in 2005. It helped bring the sport of Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) to the mainstream.

“‘The Ultimate Fighter” is going to start airing in every country. We’re going to start doing ‘The Ultimate Fighter UK,’ ‘The Ultimate Fighter Canada,’ ‘The Ultimate Fighter Philippines,’ we’re doing it everywhere,” White said.

MMA has a strong following in the Philippines partly due to the popularity of UFC.

The Philippines even has a local version of UFC, the Universal Reality Combat Championship (URCC).

James “Lights Out” Toney is not done talking. After losing to Randy “The Natural” Couture at Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) 118 last Saturday (Sunday in Manila), Toney called out the UFC Hall of Famer to prove himself in the boxing ring.

My thing with Randy Couture is he is a legend in his sport. He seems like a good person. I don’t know him personally, but from when I meet him, he seems like he’s a great dude, man. And if he is a real man, come put the gloves on,” Toney told Percy Crawford of FightHype.com.

Toney entered the mixed martial arts (MMA) scene after spending months deriding MMA for its substandard levels of striking.

However, the former boxing champion failed to land a single punch as Couture took him to the mat and submitted him at 3:19 of Round 1 via an arm triangle choke.

“The thing is, I did it his way. Now is he willing to come do it my way? Nobody in MMA will do it my way. No one will come to boxing and to try show off their hands with me. Nobody in the MMA world can go blow-for-blow with James Toney,” the former world middleweight, super middleweight and cruiserweight champion said.

UFC President Dana White, meantime, said the former boxer lasted longer in The Octagon than he expected.

“I’m sure he was prepared as he could’ve been… Anyone who knows James Toney the last few years, James isn’t the most physically fit boxer. From the day we signed the fight in my office, he lost a lot of weight,” he told told Raj Giri of FightLine.com.

No more boxing vs MMA

White also promised to never put on another boxing versus MMA encounter after Toney’s trouncing.

It’s unfair to bring in a guy with one discipline no matter if he’s trained eight or nine months. I wasn’t the guy going out and trying to bad-mouth boxing and take boxing down and hurt the sport of boxing. James Toney picked a fight and he got one,” he stated.

“I didn’t try to sell this as, ‘Tune in, you’ll see the most spectacular war’… Anything can happen in a fight. We’re not after boxing,” he continued.

Toney, for his part, vowed to bounce back.

It felt good. It felt like I hadn’t been inside a boxing ring in almost a year, you know what I’m saying? But I blame myself. It is what it is. I made a mistake and I paid the price for it. I will be back stronger than ever, I promise you,” he told FightHype.com.

He even said that he would rather compete with MMA fighters than boxers.

“At least MMA guys got guts and they will get in a cage with me. The boxing guys are all talk and no walk,” he added.

UFC’s Dana White: ‘Floyd’s scared of Manny’

source: Josef T. Ramos | manilatimes.net

Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) President Dana White believes that American Floyd Mayweather Jr. (41-0 win-loss record with 25 knockouts) is simply afraid of Filipino ring icon Manny Pacquiao.

“I think it’s a very dangerous fight for Floyd Mayweather and I think Floyd knows that and I don’t think Floyd is too crazy about this fight,” White told www.fighthype.com on Wednesday saying he personally really likes to see the fight.

“He moves around and does his thing. Pacquiao is so dangerous because he’s so fast, he hits hard too and he throws his best punches while he’s getting hit,” he added, reiterating his belief that Mayweather is very afraid of the Filipino boxer.

White explained Mayweather is afraid of Pacquiao (51-3-2 card with 38 knockouts) because he won’t be able to counter the latter’s killer punches, “It’s simply comes down to fear. Stylistically, Floyd doesn’t like this fight,” he said.

White also wishes Pacquiao good luck in his fight against Mexican Antonio Margarito slated November 13 tentatively at the Dallas Cowboys Stadium in Arlington Texas.
