“I deliberately took a few weeks to make my decision, to make sure I had enough distance from the fight at Wembley Stadium. As an amateur and a professional boxer, I have achieved everything I dreamed of, and now I want to start my second career after sports.I would have never imagined that I would have such a long and incredibly successful boxing career. I´m very thankful for this. Thanks to everyone who has always supported me. Especially my family, my team and my many fans,” Klitschko said.
41- year old Wladimir Klitscho ends his brilliant 27 year career as a professional boxer.
Ukrain’s Klitscho is a two-time former world heavyweight champion, having held the WBA (Super), IBF and WBO ,IBO, Ring magazine, and lineal titles. He is considered to be one of the greatest heavyweight champions of all time with his older brother Vitali Klitscho as they dominated heavyweight division for long time when they are both active. They have combined 109 wins and they knocked out 94 of their opponents/
Wladimir Klitscho also holds the record of second-longest reigning heavyweight champion of all time, and has the second-most successful title defenses total of any heavyweight boxer. Wladimir is also an Olympic gold medalist as he represented Ukraine represented at the 1996 Olympics.

Gallant in Defeat: We Might Have Seen the Last of Wladimir

41-year-old Wladimir Klitschko lost. Not exactly what he was hoping for but the long time champion shows due respect and class after losing to the better man.
Klitschko held the International Boxing Organization World Heavyweight, WBA Super World Heavyweight, IBF World Heavyweight and the  WBO World Heavyweight champion during the span of his career. He has accomplished a lot that some boxers only dreamed of.
But tonight in the twilight of his career we might have already seen the best of him as he bowed down to the new champion in the block.  He might still continue to fight just to end on a winning note but this could be the last iconic fight of his career as he is not getting any younger and it might be that time to hang it up.
Nonetheless, Wladimir is one of the greatest boxers and a true sportsman, a gentleman inside and outside the ring.

Joshua is the New King of the Ring As He Overpowered Klitschko for the Win

The 27 year old undefeated and now WBA Super World heavyweight and  IBF World heavyweight title holder Anthony Joshua is the new heavyweight king of the ring after an outstanding showing of skills and power against the long time champion and formidable Wladimir Klitschko.
Dr. Steelhammer, 41-year-old Wladimir Klitschko may have been envisioning a different ending of his career but young Anthony Joshua had a different plan and he executed it well tonight dropping Klitschko 4 times before the referee halts the fight to prevent further damage to Wladimir who was visibly overpowered by the younger, bigger and stronger Anthony Joshua.
This type of scene in boxing is normal as the younger and hungrier lion tries to dethrone the older one. Joshua, however, did it an epic fashion in front of 90,000 boxing fans inside the famous Wembley Stadium. He not only took out a long time reigning champion, he might just have finished off what Tyson Fury had started by giving Klitschko his first back to back loss. The 41-year-old Klitschko has made a name for himself and will certainly be remembered as one of the greatest heavyweights ever but it maybe time to hang it up as father time maybe catching up on him.
Klitschko’s record stand at 64 wins and 5 losses, while Anthony Joshua’s record is still unblemished and impressive with 19 wins and 19 KO’s.

“Fists of Furry” prevailed

The long reign of the second longest heavyweight champion has come to an end.

Nov 29, 2015 in front of 55,000 fans inside the Espirit Arena in Germany.

Tyson Fury; 28yr old with a clean record of 25-18-0  Pulled of the upset win with a “  NON HEAVYWEIGHT “ style of boxing.
In this fight Fury moves like a lower weight boxer, he was showing off his head movement and mobility which you won’t normally see in majority of heavy weight boxers now a days.
The new Heavy weight champion is not only fun to watch on video fight promotions but also inside the ring.
It’s amazing how a 6’9 guy over 250 Ibs can move around quickly like a middle weight.
Fury’s mobility was the winning factor in this fight; his head movements and the switching from Orthodox to Southpaw were really brilliant and fun to watch.
Wladimir  Klitschko  couldn’t land a solid punch except in the 5th round.
On the other hand, Tyson Fury takes advantage of his 4 in” reach advantage connecting stiff jabs and finally landed an overhand right in the 9th round.
Tyson Fury outpointed his opponent Wladimir  Klitschko 115-112, 115-112, 116-111  to take home the belt via unanimous decision.
The icing on the cake was Fury’s singing performance after his win.
Fury sings ” I dont want to miss a thing ” by Aerosmith.

Certainly fun to watch! is he the youngblood that could put the heavyweight division back on the map?
