Ginebra gets solo second spot after defeating Mahindra

Barangay Ginebra continues their winning streak and defeated the Mahindra Enforcers at the Araneta Coliseum on Friday. The Enforcers who played without one of their top local scorers in KG Canaleta who suffered from appendicitis had a great start during the first quarter but eventually lost control of the game as the Ginebra Squad surges back on top who lead with as much as 12 points. Justin Brownlee who provided outside presence made it hard for the opposing team to get back on track together with the rookie point guard Scottie Thompson who surprisingly contributed a double-double performance with 12 points and 12 boards with 3 assists. LA Tenorio who struggled to make some buckets eventually found itself contributing some shots at the later part of the game. Japeth Aguilar also one of the main man of Ginebra made its presence felt inside and outside the court in terms of offense.

The league’s crowd favorite finally gets its solo spot in the 2nd place in the PBA standings in the season ending conference. They will be having two more games before the end of the elimination games against Phoenix on Wednesday at Ynares and TNT Katropa on Sept 18 in Binan, Laguna.

TNT gets their first loss this conference against Mahindra.

The league leader TNT gets their first loss in this conference against Mahindra. These two teams are in a good campaign so far and TNT was unbeaten in their last 6 outings until they faced one of the PBA’s youngest teams Mahindra Enforcers. On the other hand the Mahindra enforcers also started unbeaten in this conference after getting their 2 consecutive losses in their last two outings.

Castro tried to salvage a win and snatch it from the hands of the Enforcers as he listed 33 points in the game while Ammons contributed 20 points to help the team get the win, but not enough to get over a Mahindra scare.

Mahindra import James White who contributed 24 points, 10 boards was the main man of the night for the squad together with Taha, Canaleta, Revilla and Digregorio who scored 15,13,12 and 11 respectively. It was a team effort that made this win possible for the new guys while the TNT katropa struggled in making everyone involved in their offense.

Mahindra Continues their streak, gets 4th straight win against Alaska

The Mahindra Enforcers still proves they’ve got what it takes to be in the country’s biggest professional league as they clinch another well deserved win against one of the biggest contenders Alaska Aces.

The enforcers led by Keith Agovida and their import White, overcomes another challenge in their campaign this conference as they get another win giving them 4-0 win-loss record. Keith Agovida who only played 15 mins contributed 11 points and 3 assists which turned the game around.

Alaska led by as much as 15 points at the end of the half but the enforcers slowly trying to get back in the game and played catch up which cut the lead to 9 at the end of 3rd quarter. But in the 4th quarter, Mahindra finally got its rhythm and was only within 5 points in the last 5mins of the pay off period. Agovida saved the day for the team as he made crucial shots and dishing good assists during the last 2minutes. Under a minute to play enforcers got the lead, 97-95 and ended the game with a win at 101-95.

Ginebra Set to Re-Acquire KG Canaleta?

According to reports, Ginebra are set ro re-acquire the services of five time PBA slamdunk champion KG Canaleta.

Snow Badua posted an article on snowbadua.com and spin.ph website about the incoming transfer of the 6’6 sharpshooter in his former team Ginebra.

Canaleta played for Ginebra in the 2011-2012 season. The former UE red warrior is averaging 11.33 points and 3 rebounds per game this conference.

Report says that Ginebra wil also find it hard to acquire Canaleta as Mahindra were hesistant to make a trade after the start of their team  (3-0) this conference

Mahindra Enforcers, surprising everyone with their 3-0 Rank

One of the youngest teams in the PBA turned out to be one of the PBA’s top contenders, Mahindra Enforcers stunned everyone with their 3 straight wins and has yet to lose a game. For a team who struggled for a couple of conferences, this is a huge development talent-wise and competitiveness. The Enforcers defeated three big teams such as, Star Hotshots, Globalport and the recent win they had against the San Miguel Beermen.

Canaleta, Taha and Agovida scored double digits each while their paint defenders did a great job in stopping the former best import Arizona Reid by allowing 17 out of 33 field goals. Though the beermen guard Cabagnot and Lassiter both finished the game with double figures, the Mahindra Import white was able to snatch the game from SMB with his last stretch shots made contributing a total of 34 points and was chosen as the Best player of the game by adding up 11 boards.

Hotshots, Tropang Texters Interested to Bradwyn Guinto

The Star Hotshots and Talk ‘N Text Tropang Texters are reportedly interested to Mahindra Enforcer Center Bradwyn Guinto. The big man out of San Sebastian is averaging 6 points and 5.36 rebounds in his first two conferences in the PBA.

The Hotshots are looking for a bigman  after they traded Yoused Taha to GlobalPort Batang Pier and Norbert Torres to Phoenix Fuel Masters while the Tropang Texters are looking to trade 2015 1st overall pick Moala Tautuaa for a legit center. Texters were reportedly offered Tautuaa and another player to the Mahindra Enforcers for Bradwyn Guinto and Enforcers 2016 first round pick. The Hotshots also tried to acquire Guinto but the management of the Mahindra Enforcers turned down the offer. They will try to acquire Jay-R Reyes from San Miguel Beermen if Guinto trade didn’t go through.

Moala Tautuaa on Trading Block

Moala Tautuaa, the first overall pick of the 2015 PBA Draft, are reportedly on the trading block. According to reports, the Talk ‘N Text Tropang Texters are looking for a revamp especially on their center spot. 
Tautuaa is averaging 7.86 points and 3.36 rebounds in his first two conference which is considered an underperformance for a top overall pick while his pal Troy Rosario, the 2015 second overall pick is performing well so far and is fthe avorite to win the Rookie of the Year award. The insiders are also cited that Tautuaa isn’t playing like a true center. The MVP owned team are looking for a legit bigman who could they match up with San Miguel’s June Mar Fajardo and Ginebra’s Japeth Aguilar and Greg Slaughter.
Tautuaa has been offered by the Talk ‘N Text Tropang Texters to the Mahindra Enforcers and another player for Bradwyn Guinto and the Enforcer’s 2016 first round pick but negotiations didn’t go through. Kiefer Ravena will join this year’s draft and the Talk ‘N Text are finding a way to get the services of the high scoring Ateneo guard which is why they are trying to get a top first round pick.

GlobalPort, Mahindra Finalized Deal

The GlobalPort Batang Pier and Mahindra Enforcers negotiation are finally done. This time, Blackwater Elite enters the picture.

In the first report that was sent to the PBA office, GlobalPort traded Jonathan Uyloan, Paolo Taha and Roi Sumang to the Mahindra Enforcers for Karl Dehesa and Mike DiGrigorio. It was a done deal until Mahindra Enforcers backed out of that deal because they don’t want to part ways with promising Mike DiGrigorio.

In the revised deal, the Batang Pier will send Paolo Taha and Roi Sumang to the Enforcers for Karl Dehesa and a 2018 second round pick then Sumang will be transferred to the Elite for rookie forward Keith Agovida while Jonathan Uyloan and Mike DiGrigorio will stay on their respective teams.
