Neil Magny Seeks to Start a Winning Streak Again at UFC 215

After eight months off due to injury, the no. 6-ranked welterweight Neil Magny is back in the UFC octagon on September 9th in Rogers Place Edmonton, Canada looking to continue his winning ways. Magny will go head to head against another former champion at UFC 215: Nunes vs. Shevchencko II. Neil Magny battles Rafael Dos Anjos is a test of two top welterweights.
This will be RDA’s second bout at welterweight. On his debut, the former 155 title holder edged Tarec Saffiedine on scores after the three rounds last June at UFC Fight Night: Holm vs. Correia.
The TUF product returned to the win column with a unanimous decision victory over former champion Johny Hendricks eight months ago at UFC 207: Nunes vs. Rousey. He lost to Lorenz Larkin at UFC 202: Diaz vs. McGregor II in August last year. Magny has won 11 of his last 13 bouts and beaten the likes of Hector Lombard, Kelvin Gastelum and Erick Silva. Magny was stepping in on short notice fights and picked up wins. The man fights whoever they give him no matter what. It just goes to show how courageously army he is and the person he have become after the fights he had early on in his career.  A true warrior who is ready and willing to fight anywhere anytime. Awed by the heart and courage of Colorado and Elevation Fight Team fighter Neil Magny.
Magny seeks to start streaking again on Saturday. Who else thinks that a win over RDA will position Magny in line for a crack at Tyron  Woodley?

Neil Magny is the first big test for RDA in the 170 lbs division. With his height and reach advantage, it would be easy for his punches to connect or find an opening to start grappling. The aggression pours once he’s able to reach the clinch as well. One needs to bring those hard leg kicks and amazing grappling to win in this fight. RDA is a BJJ blackbelt but Neil Magny has a grappling advantage too. I see a Magny TKO victory over RDA!
