Powcast Celebrated End of 2016 in High Style

Powcast celebrated year-end in high style, with the presence of some sponsors. Why high? Well the laughter level is too high!

The bash went down two nights before new year’s eve, December 29, at MegaPro Family KTV and Restaurant in Makati. Founder Pow Salud and Warleigh Lacson hosted the event, along with Managing Director Nerissa Pascual.

Pow Salud thanked everyone. Would not have done it without the team in taking care of business, he said. Salud also talked about the personal fan touch style of Sports that Powcast is going to bring in 2017 with all the breaking and latest things they have to offer. Pow acknowledged Apple Gaviola (MMA), Nathaniel Sangcap (PBA), Ian Mellodilar (Boxing), Aldrin Alejo (Photography), Yan yan Morrondoz and Paolo Gaudite’s contributions to Powcast.

There were awesome games which got the whole team moving until hungry tummies filled with delicious Filipino food and Efes beers. Team A members Theresa Salud, Paolo Manuel File, Ian Lemuel Genada, Lorenz Huang, Nathaniel Sangcap, Robert Lim and Cynthia Pedrosa dominated with an overall win over Team B’s Apple Gaviola, Eugene Tabucol, Butch Rillera and Rick Mupas.

And here are the lucky winners of major raffle prizes from sponsors:

Ian Genada: Adidas Street Jam II AQ8555
Warleigh Lacson: Base London Fish ‘N’ Chips Spring Summer 16 footwear
Cynthia Pedrosa: Adidas Red Infill Backpack
Butch Rillera: City League’s Molten GG7X Basketball

There were t-shirts and 8-in-1 coffees everyone got from Global HoopsSkippy’s and Nutrislim.

The Powcast Team really knows how to throw down as they party and gets everyone to sing for a night of enjoyment.

The USA Court Kingz electrified the crowd as they threw a bunch of Rim-Rattling Dunks that reverberated throughout the MOA Arena #GlobalHoops2016

The Court Kingz showed their explosive hops on their first game against Team China which                    was led by More Free. The Chinese players, including their bigs, were lighting the arc with                      three-point bombs. While the Americans had always left the crowd in awe, by throwing                          powerful dunks on most of their possessions.
The game between USA and China ended 38-24. with USA commanding the game until

History has been made at Global Hoops 2016

Street ballers unite last night to give us a show that we will never forget. Global Hoops 2016 brings Court Kingz (USA) led by the legendary hot sauce, China RP Zed (China) led by their own street ball legend, Helmet and the Team PH lead which is composed of ex pro players and filipino street ballers.

The event was filled by excitement and intensity as those team battle each other on a 5 on 5 game and 1 on 1 game basis. USA easy dismantles China and PH while China get their bearings against PH. But that was not inportant to the fans, we all gather to see some awesome moves from the players.
Helmet, Hot sauce, Lil’ Flash (PH), More Free (CHINA) , Zigzag (USA) and Money Love (USA) take care of the dribbling exhibitions thoughout the event. But of course there are high flying actions and most of it came from the Court Kingz’s Jumping Joe, Megatron and Mr. Viral.

It was even brighter with the help of hip hop legends like, Andrew E, Loonie, Quest, Abra, Ron Henley and Gloc 9, who performed their own hits during the break.

This event will go down in the history. It is the only event that all street ball legends from USA, China and PH played in one court together. This is the true testament that basketball can unite countries, either in professional aspect or even in street ball.
