Boston aiming for Nerlens Noel, not Jahlil Okafor

It was previously rumored that the Boston Celtics are discussing terms to trade their 3rd overall pick for Philadelphia’s Jahlil Okafor, but according to ESPN’s Marc Stein, the Philadelphia 76ers and the Boston Celtics are discussing a trade where Nerlens Noel will be traded to Boston for the 3rd overall pick.

Is New York Knicks the best choice for Dwight Howard?

Image via VN Design

Dwight Howard is interested in signing with the New York Knicks, according to ESPN’s Ian Begley. But, if Howard ends up with the Knicks, will he be a great fit when two of the current Big 3 of the Knicks are ball dominant? Howard doesn’t shine too much when paired with a ball dominant point guard that is why he might have to think twice coming to New York. But who knows? Howard and Porzingis might be a formidable duo inside the paint.

There’s a new Big 3 in the Big Apple!

Derrick Rose has been traded to New York. The Knicks now have a Big 3!
The New York Knicks and the Chicago Bulls has finally reached an agreement. The New York Knicks acquired Derrick Rose, Justin Holiday, and a 2017 2nd round pick from the Chicago bulls by sending Robin Lopez, José Calderón, and Jerian Grant to the Chicago Bulls.

Kevin Love DeMarcus Cousins Timothy? Probably

Kevin Love’s game wasn’t as big when he was in Minnesota, and Like Timothy Mozgov he is also part of the recent trade talks in Cleveland.  LeBron James is not getting the support that he hoped for and the two players are not really fitting well in the system of the Cavs.

DeMarcus Cousins is being eyed as the big help they need in Cleveland and I won’t be surprised if this trade would happen. It would be good for both side.

The King wants Tristan Thompson to stay but will he? Thompson Cavs? Update 101!

Tristan Thompson

That is what I think he was trying to say. (smiles)

Another picture this was just recently posted by the king Lebron James,

This is not your usual update this is a collaboration on what is the latest this month.

As per NBA cavs:

Tristan Thompson has not attended training camp and thus according to Cavs fans he has been out of the team as well, Some of the images of the Thompson around the Quicken loans arena have been removed apparently.

The Annual Wine and Gold Scrimmage Thompson didn’t show up as well . Here is a quote from NBA.

Tristan Thompson, who played well at power forward in Love’s absence during the playoffs, has not reported to training camp as he remains in a holdout for a long-term contract.
On Sunday, James called Thompson’s situation “a distraction” and urged both sides to reach an agreement.

Here is a video that was made last Oct 1, 2015 interview with Cavs GM David Griffin

This is another video made by a fan that would made you think whatever he is asking for is worth it, combination of first take audio and lebron james interview..

People often say what has he done? Kevin Love who is injury prone just got a max contract for 5 years, is he way better than Thompson? Shooting yes that’s about it if you ask me. Rebounding its a toss up Defense is for Thompson, passing arguably the same. Thompson hasn’t miss a game in 3 years . Love has missed a total of a year at least the last 3 seasons. Enough Said!

Bucks Pursuing Deandre Jordan!

Deandre Jordan

According to multiple sources, The Bucks are trying to lure Deandre Jordan away from Los Angeles. He is one of the unrestricted free agents this coming season. Its only the Clippers that can offer a max contract for five years and other teams can offer a 4 year contract.

If the Bucks Deandre this will surely strengthen their playoff run next year. Reports have it that Deandre might lean towards his current team or to Dallas. The Clippers right now only have 5 million cap space. The Bucks on the other hand has just traded Ersan Ilyasova to free up $23 million to make room for a max free agent.

What are your thoughts guys?

Deron Williams Bekistas
Deron Williams could be playing outside of the United States if the lock out pushes thru until fall. Deron Williams is the primary point guard of the New Jersey Nets is still under contract so there are doubts about his eligibility to play in Turkey.
Reported from a Turkish TV station: Deron Williams will play for a month to month basis and apparently will be payed a lot less compare to his NBA gig. Besiktas coach who also signed Allen Iverson told the press that they are close to an agreement with the star. (Source)
Is this the right move for Deron williams?

Lamar Odom Trade Rumors…

by: powsalud|

Lamar Odom is today’s number one Yahoo search. Going to NBA draft night there was a loud rumor that Lamar Odom could be traded to either Golden state or The Sixers.
Allegedly The Golden state will give away Monta Ellis, while Sixers will trade Andre Iguadala, I am not really sure, however reports strongly suggest that Lamar Odom and Monta Ellis will really be on its way out this season to a different teams.
Whether this rumors are true or not we will find out soon!

Trading Michael Beasley is something Timberwolves are considering?

by: powsalud|

According to some source, if Timberwolves acquired Derrick Williams in the draft, they would most probably put Michael Beasley on the trading block.

Beasley’s career was highly regarded when he entered the NBA but due to some circumstances, He now is  just another journey man in the NBA with a another possible new team.

Why wont NBA teams keep him?

Who is Golden State Warriors new coach?

by: powsalud|

Golden State Warrior did not have a very good showing last season and was looking to make a statement this season and they start by making a big gamble hiring Van Gundy, no its not him its newbie coach. .
Its Mark Jackson a former NBA player and an NBA analyst got the job. With a 3 year contract for 6 million dollars Golden State Warrior put their trust on Coach Jackson. I am not sure if this is a good move by the Golden State Warriors however let see what Marquee Mark brings to the table.

Detroit fires coach, Next look for new players? by: powsalud|
Detroit Pistons fired coach John Kuester?
Yes they did! Four days after Tom Gores purchased the team from Karen Davidson. Detroit made some change and they start by firing Coach John Keuster who led Pistons to more lost than wins for the past two years.
They should have long time ago, Detroit Pistons was a great basketball club and their performance recently was just horrible. Next thing on their agenda should be finding new players and make some changes in the roster.

Brown will head coach the purple and yellow…

Yes Mike Brown is officially the head coach of the L.A. Lakers.

After his stint in Cleveland, Mike Brown is ready to fill up the shoes of one of the most successful coach in the NBA Phil Jackson, its yet another daunting task for him, but this time he will have a much more tenured and complete team.

I wonder what is the reaction of Kobe Bryant, we all know that He is supporting his former teammate and assistant coach Shaw.  (source

If you mix Brown with yellow and purple what do you think will you get?

Playoff berth ends miserable stretch for Knicks

By BRIAN MAHONEY, AP Basketball Write
GREENBURGH, N.Y. – Even while chasing championships in Detroit, Chauncey Billups couldn’t help but notice the comedy of errors playing in New York.
Larry Brown, his beloved coach with the Pistons, lasted just one tumultuous season with the Knicks before a contentious parting that went all the way to Commissioner David Stern’s office. Isiah Thomas, one of the all-time greats as a Detroit player, became a spectacular failure here as a coach and executive.

In New York City, the Motor City and beyond, the Knicks had become a punch line.
“Anything that goes on in New York is everywhere. It’s not just in y’alls’ papers, it’s kind of everywhere,” Billups said Monday, a day after the Knicks clinched their first playoff berth since 2004. “So I followed that, man, and it was, it was kind of unpleasant to see that.”
OK, so maybe the Knicks weren’t quite the Clippers. The longtime losers from Los Angeles have been the NBA’s standard when it comes to failed franchises.
On the court, though, the Knicks were even worse. From the start of the 2004-05 season to the end of 2009-10, only the Minnesota Timberwolves were worse — by three wins — than New York, which compiled a .352 winning percentage, according to STATS, LLC.
Throw in a sexual harassment lawsuit against Thomas and Madison Square Garden by a former franchise executive, the drama involving Stephon Marbury, and it seemed everyone was laughing at the Knicks.
“What I found here is that everyone wants to mock the Knicks because they don’t really want to see them get good,” team president Donnie Walsh said. “I didn’t. In Indiana, I did not want to see the Knicks get good because they could be good for a long time.”
Maybe they’re on their way.
Though the Knicks’ drought matched Minnesota’s for the NBA’s longest, they won’t be an inexperienced club when they return to the big stage in less than two weeks. Billups, Amare Stoudemire and Carmelo Anthony have all played deep into the postseason, meaning the Knicks’ core would be as tested as anyone outside of Boston among Eastern Conference teams.
“We have three guys who expected to be there,” coach Mike D’Antoni said. “So it’s not like, ‘look we did.’ This is a normal day for them.”
Nothing about the Knicks was normal before Walsh and D’Antoni arrived in 2008.
Shortly after Thomas was hired in late 2003, he thought he had the franchise player who would lead the Knicks to perennial playoff appearances when he acquired Marbury from Phoenix. They would make the postseason that spring before they were swept by the New Jersey Nets.
Marbury would eventually feud with Thomas and just about everyone else, including Brown, who went 23-59 in 2005-06 before Madison Square Garden chairman James Dolan fired him and attempted to withhold the remaining four years on his contract, saying Brown was fired for violating MSG rules. The matter went before Stern before the sides eventually settled.
Anthony, like Marbury and Brown a Brooklyn native, was too busy with his own career in Denver to pay much attention to what was happening in New York. But he could tell how much it meant that playoff basketball back was coming back to New York from the excitement of the fans following Sunday’s 123-107 victory over Cleveland.
“As fans and as students of the game, we know how hard it was for the New York Knicks, the franchise, and for the city to have to go through that, not making the playoffs year in and year out, not having nothing to look forward to in the postseason,’ Anthony said. “So now we want to change that.”
D’Antoni, a regular 50-game winner in Phoenix, had to endure two 50-loss seasons in New York while the Knicks implemented Walsh’s plan to clear enough cap space to sign two superstar free agents last summer. Stoudemire was the first and he vowed the Knicks would return to prominence, making the clinching victory special for him.
“Any time you accomplish a goal, you really have a sense of pride,” Stoudemire said. “After that game last night, I felt extremely emotional. I sat down with friends and family and were having a conversation about the hard work that took place to get to this point, and so we really cherished the moment last night, but now it’s time to get back on track.”
The Knicks (38-38) will spend the remaining six games trying to finish with their first winning record since going 48-34 in 2000-01. They are 1 1/2 games behind the 76ers for the No. 6 seed, with a game in Philadelphia on Wednesday.
Then it’s on to what they believe is the first of many postseasons. The misery of the last six years is over, and Anthony says the standards are higher now.
“We’ve just got to win games,” he said. “We have a team now that we want to build on, be better, compete at a high level every year, but anything less than playoffs is a failure for us from here on out.”
