Golden State Advances to Western Conference Semifinals Following Trail Blazer’s Sweep

April 24, 2017- The Portland Trail Blazers was completely swept by the Warriors with today’s Game 4 win 128-103 in Moda Center.
Golden State is truly one of the strongest teams in NBA and it flourished its strong range in today’s game against Portland Trail Blazers. With GSW’s head coach Steve Kerr missing in action, assistant coach Mike Brown took care of the role for a while. Stephen Curry brought glory to Warriors scoring a total of 37 points 7 rebounds and 8 assists. Not only Curry but his teammates as well scored some double figures today, together with the comeback warrior Kevin Durant who didn’t get to play Games 2 and 3 due to an injury he incurred in Game 1’s third quarter contributed to the win of Golden State Warriors today chipping in a total of 10 points 3 rebounds and 2 assists.

“That was unbelievable. Our guys were locked in on both ends of the floor. I wish I could say this one thing or that one thing was really good but everything we tried to do, we tried to do it on a high level,” Brown said. “It was fun to watch. Fun to be a part of.”

Now all that’s left for Golden State is the Western Conference semifinals and the winner of Utah Jazz and Los Angeles Clippers series, which is tied at 2.

Lillard and McCollum Scored 75 but Portland Still Fell to Golden State

CJ McCollum with 41 points, Damian Lillard with 34, that’s a combined 75 points on a 51% field goal percentage. There is just no other way that the other team could beat you if your two best players are scorching hot like this.
We were wrong.
Portland Trail Blazers up the ante and was able to keep up against the heavy favorite Golden State Warriors in an offensive showdown.
Both teams were scorching the net as they scored no less than 25 points in each of the quarter until the 4th in which Blazers only scored 21 against 33 of the Warriors.  The Blazers had a shortage of firepower against the Warriors.  They fought fire with fire and the Blazers got burnt.
Kevin Durant led the scoring for the Warriors with 32 points, followed by Stephen Curry with 29, Draymond Green with 19 and Klay Thompson with 15 points.
Warriors with 53% field goal percentage took game 1 in front of their home crowd.

Damian Lamonte Ollie Lillard, also known as Dame, was born in Oakland. California on July 15, 1990. He was selected with the sixth pick (sixth overall) in the 1st round of the 2012 NBA Draft by the Portland Trail Blazers.

Today, Lillard is known as one of the most elite point guards of the NBA. He won the NBA Rookie of the year and has been named an All-Star twice.

Let’s look back on the Top 10 plays of his career:

Turner, Trail Blazers Agreed on Four-Year Deal

The Portland Trail Blazers added depth on their wing adding Evan Turner. According to the reports, Turner and the Blazers agreed to a four-year, $70 million deal.
The 2nd overall pick of the 2010 draft is coming of a successful year with the Boston Celtics last season. He has averaged 10.5 points, 4.9 rebounds, 4.4 assists and 1 steal per game last season making him a solid sixth man.
Turner will provide much needed scoring off the bench for the Trail Blazers with Aminu expected to be the starter.

What time is it? It’s Dame Time !

Western Conference Playoff Preview: Los Angeles Clippers vs. Portland Trail Blazers

(4) Los Angeles Clippers VS. (5) Portland Trail Blazers

LAC in 6

This series is expected to be the most even series in the Western Conference, but since Blake Griffin is expected to be back in action for the Clippers, the Los Angeles Clippers can close this series out in six games. The Portland Trail Blazers’ backcourt led by Damian Lillard and CJ McCollum can pretty much matchup against the Los Angeles Clippers’ backcourt led by Chris Paul and JJ Redick, but the Portland Trail Blazers’ frontcourt led by Mason Plumlee and Meyers Leonard are not as dominant as the Los Angeles Clippers’ frontcourt led by DeAndre Jordan and Blake Griffin. The Portland Trail Blazers had an amazing season even with them losing four of their starters last season, and they still managed to get the 5th seed in the Western Conference, but the Portland Trail Blazers seem to have no answer to the Los Angeles Clippers having lost their series against the Los Angeles Clippers 3-1, and if Blake Griffin will indeed be back in action for the Los Angeles Clippers, the Portland Trail Blazers will be having another problem to deal with. But who knows, if Damian Lillard, CJ McCollum, Ed Davis, and the rest of the boys in red-blue-black step their games up to the next level, the Portland Trailblazers could very well win against the Los Angeles Clippers. The Los Angeles Clippers’ frontcourt will be too much for the Portland Trail Blazers to handle, but no matter what the results will be in this series, this will be the most exciting series to watch due to it being the most even matchup in the 1st round in the Western Conference.

Damin Lillard all star snubbed blasted GSW with 51 pts, 6 steals, 7 assist 9 THREES!!!

Yes Sir! They hear you now! 137-105 Victory against GWS!

Damian Lillard gave a masterful performance against Curry and the warriors, early it was a shootout between the 2 great PG (Curry and Lillard) at half time it was 68 -62. Lillard wasnt an alll star this year because all three from Golden state got the nod over him and of course Russell Westbrook plus Kobe.

Did Lillard feel bad? I don’t think so this game is more of an invite for the free agents out there to see how good this team can be. Lillard is just 25 years old and certainly one of the best PG’s out there. I would even go out on a limb to pick him over Irving, because Lillard has played full seasons already while Irving that is another story.

This is one of the best statement game, I’ve seen this season and this would really help the franchise.

CJ McCollum MIP of the year? 32pts 7reb 6 assists

CJ McCollum

Will his performance towards the end of this month get him the MIP? I know Paul George has been tearing it up as well but PG is an all star already prior to his devastating injury or is this a darren collison syndrome that CJ is into. I think that CJ isnt far from really getting the attention of other teams like how George Hill attracted the Pacers organization to sign him to a good contract.

Right now the Blazers still have this guy in contract for 2 more years and will expire on 2018.I wont be surprised if there are teams that would make an offer for CJ next year considering that his contract is cheap and he is still young at 24 years old he can still develop and be a better player.

McCollum has the range can pass the ball quite well and attack the rim when needed.

McCollum is averaging 21 pts, 4 assts, 4 rebounds and a steal per game this season.

Here is the year end performance of CJ:

CJ McCollum Nasty 35pts to give Blazers a Back to Back Win!

CJ McCollum

Damian Lillard is out but his back up PG isn’t shy of taking over the Spotlight for his team. CJ McCollum played out of his mind last night to give his team back to back victories, something they haven’t seen this season. The Blazers are 13-20 good for the 10th spot for the Western Conference. Honestly the future for this team is just another all star away their bench is already good and they could potentially land a Kevin Durant next year if they play their cards right.

Back to the victory, the Blazers out rebounded the Kings on this game 52-43. McCollum though almost had a triple double with 35 pts, 11 rebounds, 9 assists and 1 block. Cousins scored 36 pts, 6 rebounds and 2 Blocks.

Here is the highlight of the game:

Cavs blown out by Portland Without Lillard! 105-76

Allen Crabbe

Yes, that is correct a struggling Blazers team without Damian Lillard blow out the Cavs as this guy Allen Crabbe led his team with 26 points in 4-6 shooting from the 3. I seriously thought that losing Wes Matthews was another blow for the Blazers after the Aldridge signed with the Spurs. I was wrong Crabbe has been quite a surprise this season and this game he seemed like the Blazers shouldn’t really miss Matthews.

Lebron struggled to put his team on his back as he only scored 12 points in 4-13 shooting, with 4 rebounds and 5 assist. They said that the Warriors game took a toll on the Cavs but who would have thought that they would get blown out by the Blazers without their franchise PG Lillard. Everyone from the Blazers came out with guns blazing. They shot better in the paint for 46.1%(41-89) and 40.9% from the 3 (9-22). They also out rebounded the Cavs 49-42.

No Cavs player scored at least 15 points. The Cavs is still sitting at the top of the Eastern Conference but we all know that this is also the last year of LBJ on his contract if his team doesn’t do well moving forward who knows where he would play next year.

Here is the surprising victory of the Blazers who before this was 0-5.

Blazers reach buy out with Miller; Nuggest interested with Miller

Portland Trail Blazers forward Mike Miller has finalized a contract buyout to enter free agency.

Once Miller clears waivers, the Denver Nuggets are among the teams with an interest in signing Miller. Denver pursued Miller aggressively in free agency a year ago, before Miller signed a deal with the Cleveland Cavaliers. Denver has 14 guaranteed contracts as it begins training camp this week.

The Blazers acquired Miller in the Brendan Haywood trade in July, receiving two future second-round picks from the Cleveland Cavaliers.

Blazers’ Damian Lillard Set Up Team Bonding in San Diego

Portland Trail Blazers‘ superstar, Damian Lillard showed leadership in his team by arranging a players-only week in San Diego, California, to make each player get to know each other before the training camp.

It was Lillard’s idea to gather all the old and new Blazers to increase their team chemistry and to make themselves comfortable to each other. Lillard said that in San Diego, the guys spend all of their times together, starting from working out each morning, played basketball in the afternoon, even went to a San Diego Padres baseball game together.
Since during this off-season LaMarcus Aldridge had signed with the Spurs, Wes Matthews is now a Maverick, and Robin Lopez had moved to New York Knicks, undoubtedly Lillard will step up as the leader of the young Portland Trail Blazers, which has 11 new players addition to the roster for next NBA season. Last season, the 2-times All Star point guard averaged 21.0 points per game, 6.2 assists per game, and 3.8 rebounds and took Blazers’ to the NBA Playoffs, before got eliminated by Memphis Grizzlies 4-1 in Western Conference’s first round.

Tristan Thompson might leave Cavs, Who would sign him if ever?

Tristan Thompson
It has been reported that Thompson might leave if Cleveland would offer a 1 year deal, prior to this offer, Thompson and his agent turned down a four year deal of $60 million dollars. Reports are circling around the league that Thompson wants max deal. If you are to ask me since cap space will blow up in the next couple of years Cavs, should give assurance to Thompson the next 2 years at least same deal that Greg Monroe got from the Bucks.
It maybe a push but Thompson is one of the reasons why they made it all the way to the finals despite losing Kevin Love and Kyrie Irving. I am not a big fan of TT, however there are teams that would love to have him like Portland or maybe even LA and Dallas. It has been said that Lebron wants TT to be a with the Cavs forever it maybe a ploy to make TT stay, but if Kevin Love got a max offer of $110 million for 5 years, it would be an insult for Thompson if he gets anything less than $16M per year. Kevin Love is better offensively that is for sure but he is also a bit injury prone on the other hand TT was able to start all 82 games in his first 2 seasons with the Cavs and it maybe the same case this year in case Kevin Love is not yet back or if another team gets TT.
Is he worth max contract maybe not but will LBJ be happy if Thompson leaves? The Cavs front office need to measure things because we all know that LBJ can opt out next year if he doesnt win it all.

Lamarcus Aldridge ! Where to ? Possible Destinations and why?

For those who doesnt know yet.

Aldridge’s house is up for sale.

https://twitter.com/TheAmySchwartz/status/606252697218457601

One month before free agency begins…and LaMarcus Aldridge’s Portland home is for sale. Take it for what it’s worth. #Blazers

so it might be inevitable, here are some situations where he might end up .

Spurs

Well yes they have a way to sign Aldridge and this would mean that Duncan can actually have his last run next season and Aldridge would be happy playing along with Leonard, Together they can be the core of this team moving forward. Shout out to Grantland for this one. #Jalen Rose

Rockets

Yes this would mean that he would be a second fiddle to harden . I don’t really factor as being the man if you can win the championship . Aldridge to Houston – the league would go like “Houston we have a problem”

Dallas

Dirk has already made it open that he would take a pay cut for them to have another run.
Aldridge was born and raised in Texas, so this should be a no brainer.

Dark horse for West

Aldrige played University of Texas in Austin. He will be 30 though and he certainly want to win now.

As for the teams in the East lets throw out a couple of team’s that could work for Aldridge.

The best team for him in the easy would be the Bucks.

Yes he is going to be the man there… and he would have a roster like the one they have @ portland right now. it maybe a stretch but its worth a shot.

Carter Williams – Lillard
Mayo/Middleton – Matthews (he might be gone though)
Parker  – Batum
Aldridge
Henson

plus they have the 17th pick

Pacers

Hill
George
Aldridge
Hibbert
West Scola

and 11th pick.

Outside looking in a dark hourse would be Wizards.

I know that blazer fans would like to keep Aldridge but i don’t see any positive signs that he would stay.

We would love to hear your thoughts
