UFC Fighters Flagged for Failed USADA Drug Test Since New Policy Implemented

On June 2015, UFC and USADA started the new drug testing program and eversince it was implemented many fighters have failed.

The latest who received suspension for Doping Violation was Chad Mendes. The featherweight contender tested positive for GHRP-6. UFC removed him from Featherweight Rankings.

A temporary suspension for Jon Jones was handed by the Nevada State Athletic Commission until the commission can have a full hearing which will likely happen in September or October. The former light heavyweight champion who is considered one of the greatests in the sport tested positive for clomiphene. Disappoints me much as a fan.

Another one who tested positive for hydroxyl-clomiphene was Brock Lesnar. He may face a maximum two-year suspension from UFC competition but not from WWE because Lesnar is classified as a part-time athlete and thus he’s not subjected to the company’s talent wellness program.

Former UFC lightweight and welterweight champion B.J.Penn has been suspended by USADA for six months due to out-of-competition IV use. Penn was pulled out of UFC 199 bout with Cole Miller.

UFC lightweight Islam Makhachev tested positive for the Meldonium. Makhachev underwent a radiofrequency ablation procedure in December 2014 and physician recommended to incorporate it into his follow-up treatment. The fighter discontinued use because he was aware that the substance would be prohibited. USADA ruled Makhachev with a ‘No Fault’ for his Meldonium.

George Sullivan voluntarily disclosed information that could pose a potential compliance issue with the Anti-Doping Policy. Sullivan has been removed from his fight with Hector Urbina from the UFC on Fox 20 card.

Former heavyweight champion Frank Mir joined those who have failed drug tests. The BJJ black belt tested positive for oral turinabol metabolites.

Yoel Romero tested positive for performance-enhancing drugs (PEDs). He was removed out of UFC Rankings. Romero was former No. 2 Middleweight contender.

Machida has been flagged by USADA and admitted the use of 7-Keto DHEA on his pre-fight. He claims he had no idea it was on the banned substances list.

NSAC suspended welterweight Nick Diaz for five years because of the third marijuana-related offense of his career. Diego Brandao also has tested positive for marijuana at UFC 195.

Other fighters in the list are as follows:

▶Ricardo Abreu, Substance: Unspecified
▶Daniel Omielanczuck, Substance: Meldonium
▶Carlos Diego Ferreira, Substance: Ostarine
▶Viscardi Andrade, Substance: Currently unspecified
▶Felipe Olivieri, Substance: Methyltestosterone
▶Tim Means, Substance: Ostarine
▶Abdul Kerim Edilov, Substance: Meldonium
▶Gleison Tibau, Substance: EPO
▶Mirko Cro cop, Substance: Admission of usage of HGH

Results of UFC 200: Miesha Tate vs Amanda Nunes

Biggest fight on the planet. The historic night in MMA world finally has happened.

Miesha Tate was not able to hold the Women’s Bantamweight title for long. Amanda Nunes beat her by RNC submission. In this method she defeated Holly Holm.

First three fights were knockout whoa which made this card more exciting to the viewers. It went a bit sloppy on Northcut, Dillashaw and Gastelum though.

Julianna Pena and Cat Zingano however were very likeable to watch. Johny Hendricks was somewhat struggling. Another loss was added to his record. What you guys think is next to him?

Cain Velasquez is back. He looked hungry beating someone inside the cage again. He was humbled and checked on Travis Brown after he was left on the mat. The Interim Featherweight belt was wrapped around Jose Aldo’s waist defeating Frankie Edgar with blood on  his face.

Brock Lesnar’s ground and pound was nice. Mark Hunt did not knock him out like every everyone thought.

Brock Lesnar vs Cain Velasquez Set For UFC 121 on October 23rd From Anaheim, California

source: Michael G/ http://heymanhustle.craveonline.com
UFC President Dana White confirmed this evening that Brock Lesnar will defend the UFC Undisputed Heavyweight Championship against number one contender Cain Velasquez on October 23rd at the Honda Center in Anaheim, California as the main event of UFC 121.

The Honda Center hasn’t seen UFC action since September 2007, when Keith Jardine scored an upset win over Chuck Liddell at UFC 76.

Velasquez, who is 8-0 in his MMA career, is coming off his KO victory over Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira at UFC 110 in Australia this past February.

Lesnar, of course, just defeated Shane Carwin in one of the most thrilling heavyweight title matches of all time, forcing the tap out to an Arm Triangle Choke last Saturday night to unify the UFC Heavyweight Championship in the main event of UFC 116. Lesnar was the unwilling victim of a vicious and brutal onslaught from Carwin in the first round, and it appeared to many that referee Josh Rosenthal was close to calling the fight. But Lesnar kept showing life, and worked his way back up to his feet before pinning Carwin against the cage and using wrist control to contain the bad ass engineer from Greeley, Colorado.

In the second round, Lesnar took Carwin down to the canvas, and eventually applied a Arm Triangle Choke, a move Comprido recommended to Lesnar to utilize the former NCAA Division I Heavyweight Champion’s wrestling skills.

Lesnar Brock my world! – Carwin

tweetmeme_style = ‘compact’;

Pictures Inside

UFC 116 was exciting as it was successful, Brock Lesnar and Shane Carwin provided some thrilling moments through out the fight.

For Brock, It was not a good start from as he was pummeled with a barrage of heavy punches by Carwin, and it almost seems that he is going to loose or give up, but he never did and he withstand the attack and survive the early onslaught.

The second round was different as Brock regains his composure. We know that Brock is the favorite to win but who would have though that it will be a submission.

A Triangle arm bar made Carwin to tap out and loose the fight.
