Triple Figures in a single game? BY A SINGLE PLAYER?

A typical basketball game in the NBA often ends up with a score less than a hundred. If both teams execute high-paced plays, there is a chance that the final score may exceed to this huge number. But one time, a player scored a hundred points. I repeat ‘one player’.

Wilt Chamberlain’s legendary 100 point game

It was way back 1961 when Wilt Chamberlain of the Philadelphia Warriors scored an unimaginable 100 points in a single game against the New York Knicks where his team won with a score of 169-147. It is the highest score in a single game by a single player in NBA history. Chamberlain is a monstrous center, standing high 7 foot 1, he averages 30.1  points 24 rebounds a game. A performance we do not see every day. In fact, this super scoring giant scored more than 60 points in 32 games of his career in the NBA.

Trailing yet way behind Chamberlain

The black mamba, Kobe Bryant is second on the list with 81 points way back 2005 against the Toronto Raptors. He scored more than 60 points in 6 of his game. He’s the closest to be compared with Chamberlain yet he is way far for the 100 points and 32 – 60 point and up games.
Of course, the most renowned basketball player of all generations, Michael Jordan would not have a reason not to be on the list, he had a 69-point game last 1989 against the Cleveland Cavaliers. Jordan scored more than 60 points in 5 of his games.
Just how historical Chamberlain is? Surpassing two of the most prominent players of their era with a huge deficit.  He is definitely an unstoppable center considering his size, he is called “Goliath’ and no doubt that he really is.
This generation’s prodigies who scored 60 points above are of the most power-packed teams this season. LeBron James with a record of 61 points last 2013 against the Bobcats and Klay Thompson, the splash brother of Curry with 60 points just last season against the Indiana Pacers.
