Court Kingz wins it all as Zig Zag also wins the 1 on 1 game.
Streeball legend Hot Sauce

Philip Champion a.k.a Hot Sauce and company electrified the Filipino fans at Mall of Asia Arena, Pasay City. They showcased their great basketball handling and high-flying dunks. Team USA which is composed by Court Kingz players such as Megatron, Jumping Joe, Mr. Viral, Jet Blue, Remix, Rim Reaper raised the roof as they flew over their defenders and punishing the rim. Other Court Kingz players such as the street-ball legend Hot Sauce, Zig Zag, Master Jeng and the crowds favorite Mani Love performed some of their signature moves to pass by their defenders.

The first exhibition game between Team USA and Team China that was led by More Free ended with the score of 38-24 with Team USA dominating most of them game.

Global Hoops not only united everyone with the game of basketball but also brought Philippine Hip-Hop in the building. Andrew E. started the half-time show and hyped everyone as he performed some of his popular songs such as Banyo queen and gave away his vest to the loudest screaming fan at the lower box of the arena. The performance was then followed by Philippine Hip-Hops biggest names such as Gloc 9, Abra, Quest and the MC for the game Mike Swift.

The Team Philippines was composed by players such as Jeron Teng, Ren Ren Ritualo, Willie Miller and our very own streetballers such as the Lil Flash, Ball Hustla, Kitt Balmori and more. The first part of the game was competitive as both team played to score points. However the game became more entertaining as both teams played street basketball. There was notable moments where Lil Flash dueled with Mani Love.

Global Hoops is a perfect event for basketball fans who seeks to see countless high flying dunks and ankle breaking crossovers.

Willie Miller is going to Serbia for King of the Rock World Finals

Former PBA Superstar Replaces Fil-Am Rep to King of the Rock World Finals

(MANILA, Philippines) – Following his historic win at the first-ever King of the Rock national finals last March 19, 2016 in Manila, Filipino-American Robbie Herndon has decided to step down as the Philippines’ first representative to the world finals to be held later this year in Serbia.
King of the Rock is the world’s largest and most prestigious 1-on-1 street basketball tournament held every year. In its debut season in the country, King of the Rock held qualifiers in the cities of Cebu, Caloocan, and Quezon. At the national finals, the top 24 players battled in intense single-elimination rounds before Herndon and former PBA superstar Willie Miller emerged as the top two – with Herndon eventually taking home the crown.
A former NCAA Division II player for San Francisco State University, Herndon is determined to continue with basketball albeit in a different venue. After training at the PBA D-League last 2015 with teams like Rain or Shine, Alaska, and Kia, the 22-year-old player believes that his skills and training are primed for another try at this year’s PBA Draft.
In Herndon’s place, two-time league MVP Miller is more than happy to step up through the ranks – from first runner-up to being the new King of the Rock Philippine champion and official representative to the world finals. The 9-time PBA All-Star has proven during his 14-year PBA career that he has the moves and mentality of a champion.
The two have expressed nothing but support for each other despite the change. Miller has offered to mentor the potential pick for the upcoming draft while Herndon has volunteered to be the PBA alumnus’ training partner when he preps for the streetball competition.
At the culmination of this season’s King of the Rock, Miller will play with the signature Filipino passion and pride against 63 of the best streetball players from all over the world. Will his stellar PBA career be enough to reign supreme at the world finals? Follow his adventures atwin.gs/KOTRPHILIPPINES.

About Red Bull King of the Rock
Red Bull King of the Rock is the world’s most prestigious one-on-one street basketball tournament. After a series of qualifying events taking place around the world, the best and toughest finalists (Kings and Queens) face off to crown the new champion. The tournament follows a straightforward concept where players battle head-to-head in raw outdoor basketball, using a single-elimination tournament bracket. Games last five minutes, with 15 second clock and are subject to regulation hoops rules and scoring (two and three pointers). Players have to be tough to make it to the finals, but also have to play smart – five fouls equal an automatic loss. After each game, the loser walks away, and the winner will face his next opponent. Tension and expectations are high. With blood, sweat, tears, and hoops in the mix, the last King and Queen will be honored.
