sobbing happy tears after Bruce
Buffer declaired him as the winner

Love this pic! Powerful! It says a lot for Jimmie Rivera’s huge win over Urijah Faber at UFC 203: Miocic vs. Overeem in Cleveland. Watching the humility in his humble winning has really impressed me more.

Jimmie Rivera wished to fight someone in the top ten. On July 13, 2016 it was granted. UFC officially booked the fight between bantamweights Jimmie Rivera vs. Urijah Faber. The California Kid provided him with his biggest test of his career, September 10, 2016 at the Quicken Loans Arena in Cleveland, Ohio. He passed and new accomplishment unlocked. El Terror scored big as well, his striking was accurate. Faber was hurt and leg turned to red with the brutal leg kicks by Jimmie Rivera. They had a nice back and forth. But you can see the respect they have for each other. It was really good to see. Great sportsmanship.

Rivera now has 20-1 MMA record and is now ranked 7th. All four of his last fights inside the UFC octagon were victorious:

⬆Defeated Urijah Faber by Decision (unanimous) at UFC 203: Miocic vs. Overeem

⬆Defeated Luri Alcântara by Decision (unanimous) at UFC on Fox 18: Johnson vs. Bader. It earned Fight Of The Night (FOTN) bonus at the same time

⬆Defeated Pedro Munhoz  by Decision (split) at UFC Fight Night 77: Belfort vs. Henderson 3

⬆Defeated Marcus Brimage in round 1 by TKO (punches) at UFC Fight Night 72: Bisping vs. Leites

Good things are happening. Keep your eyes on this fighter. He’s on his way for top five or three glory. Interested to see what’s next for Jimmie Rivera. Who do you think this bantamweight contender had his next opponent in mind? John Dodson, Cody Garbrandt, Aljamain Sterling or Bryan Caraway?

However, there is a five amateur fights prior that the state of Ohio required for a fighter to get a permission to battle. Let us wait and see if Punk and UFC will appeal to the executive director or Ohio athletic commission to have the rule waived.

A rematch between former heavyweight champion Fabricio Weirdum and Travis Browne is the co-main event. Can Browne bounced back and defeat him this time?

Set on Sept 10 in Cleveland, the No. 14 Jimmie ‘El  Terror’ Rivera will face the No. 2 Urijah Faber in a Bantamweight fight at UFC 203: Miocic vs. Overeem.

It was an upset for Urijah Faber to get the Bantamweight strap over Dominick Cruz at UFC 199: Rockhold vs. Bisping 2 last month.

Meanwhile, all three of Rivera’s last fights inside the UFC octagon were victorious:

⚫Def Luri Alcântara by Decision (unanimous) at UFC on Fox 18: Johnson vs. Bader. It earned Fight Of The Night (FOTN) bonus at the same time

Jimmie was a Bantamweight Champion at Cage Fury Fighting Championships (CFFC) and Ring of Combat. While at King of the Cage (KOTC) in Flyweight division, he was once a Champion also. The rising Bantamweight was a former Bellator and World Series Of Fighting (WSOF) contender as well. Rivera has a 19-1 MMA record. What he have accomplished on his MMA career shows the man really working his ass off for it and his passion is greater than his challenges. With his title reigns, win-loss record, how many times and where he competed, I could see this 27-year-old getting a title shot in the near future. The California Kid better don’t sleep on El Terror Jimmie Rivera.
