Anton Larsson may just be the next big thing for UGB MMA Championship.

Standing at 5 ft 5 inches from Sweden Anton Larsson is a fighter based out of the acclaimed Legacy Gym Boracay. Originally Thai but adopted by a Swedish couple Anton Larsson is a force to be reckoned with at the strawweight weight class.
Quickly finishing his previous opponent Gurus Diwang at Impi World Series in Hong Kong during
his professional Mixed Martial Arts debut Anton proved to many that he was indeed a good upcoming prospect. With a style somewhat like UFC legend Lyoto Machida, Anton brings in a wide arsenal of  striking into his game. Which is not a surprise as he trains under the legendary Ole Laursen at his gym Legacy Gym Boracay.

Taking the fight on short notice, due to Haider Farman’s visa issues, Anton is looking to register his second professional Mixed Martial Arts victory and move closer to a UGB MMA title shot. However before that he faces a crafty boxer in the form of RJ Redula who is making his professional Mixed Martial Arts debut against Anton.
In a fan poll, Anton is a favourite with 70 percent of the people who took part seeing Anton as the favourite.
Will it be the prospect from Sweden or the Filipino warrior who takes home the glory?

UGB MMA on the Rise, Signs Strategic Partnership with WSOF-GC

International Promotion WSOF Partners with UGB MMA Starting 2016

When Underground Battle (UGB) founder Ferdie “Jefe” Abadilla Munsayac said the local promotion will be very active in 2016, nobody thought of the monumental partnership about to hit the local MMA scene.
Indeed, more explosive events are on the horizon as World Series of Fighting – Global Championship (WSOF-GC) signs a strategic agreement with UGB MMA. On January 22, the first regional event under the team-up takes place in Makati Coliseum.
“This is the first step down an exciting road for us,”states WSOF-GC President, Shawn Wright.“We want to bring the very best of MMA to all parts of the world, as well as bring the best MMA from other parts of the world together under one banner. By having UGB MMA become an official partner, we hope to bring fights from the Philippines to our audience. It has never been our intention to come into a new market and try to take away from what other fine organizations are already doing. We want to work with other promotions to help grow their brand with ours and assist in that exposure any way that we can.  The Philippine people are some of the greatest fight fans, and we are excited to have our brand represented there.”
The move is something that aligns with everything the local promotion stands for. Affirms Munsayac,“For the industry, my goal is to unite people, teams, promoters, promotions, fighters. I’m not here to stir things up to create chaos, jealousy, or any kind of intrigue.”
“We are honored to become an official partner of the famous World Series of Fighting Global Championship, which has done a tremendous job introducing MMA to the rest of the world,”says Faizan Fayaz of UGB MMA. “As WSOF-GC continues to extend its reach and engage fight fans with thrilling matches, we look forward to providing the highest quality regional experience in the Philippines to enhance the fan experience and support WSOF Global’s expansion into the international stage. It’s great to provide our fighters a platform for world recognition, and give our fans a fantastic opportunity to support them. We are again honored to be a part of the WSOF Global family and look forward to bigger and better shows in the entire region.”
UGB MMA 13: Foreign Invasion, powered by WSOF-GC, pits hard-hitting Filipino Mark Palomar (2-1) against former ONE Championship standout, American Brad Robinson (2-1) for the main event. At stake is the inaugural UGB MMA middleweight championship strap. For the two co-main events, it’s Philippines vs. Pakistan, as Rodian Menchavez takes on Ahmed Mujtaba (3-0) for the featherweight belt, and Welmil Graves collides with Uloomi Karim for the bantamweight title.
Apart from these title fights, two more Filipinos – Mario Sismundo (1-1) and RJ Redula – share the cage with foreign opponents in Tajikistan’s Salim Mukhidinov (2-1) and Pakistan’s Haider Farman, respectively. Seven equally exciting fights complete the card.
With every fighter itching to show what he’s made of, every match promises fireworks. For more information, you may visit and
