Eduard Folayang, the top gun of the Universal Reality Combat Championship (URCC), kept his winning streak going in the Martial Combat by downing South African Vuyisile Colossa Saturday at the Resorts World Sentosa Convention Centre in Singapore.

Folayang, who is fine-tuning for the Guangzhou Asian Games next month, proved too classy for his rival as he jarred his rival with heavy blows to the head to score a unanimous decision in their lightweight division clash.
It was his third win in the event and 9th overall in the mixed martial arts (MMA) since 2007. He has a 6-1 record in the URCC-organized event.

The loss was the first for the South African, who later admitted that Folayang was indeed the more aggressive and superior fighter.

Folayang is one of the country’s bright prospects in the coming Asian Games, having won the silver medal in the Doha Games four years back.

In the Busan Games in 2002, he bagged the bronze medal.
