The Golden State Warriors met their former assistant coach, new Los Angeles Lakers head coach Luke Walton in Las Vegas on October 15 at T-Mobile Arena.

Klay Thompson led the Warriors by 24 points to defeat the Lakers, 112-107. Kevin Durant has 17 points.

The Lakers were getting blown away by the Warriors in the second quarter. Lead had ballooned to 30 points. Draymond Green, Andre Iguodala and David West did not even play.

The Lakers was outscored 54-30 in the paint and made assists on 29 of their 44 made field goals. Nick Young led the Lakers with 17 while No. 2 overall pick Brandon Ingram scored 12 off the bench. Lou Williams and Metta World Peace did not play also.

The purple and gold made a late fourth quarter comeback. The boys stayed focused and capitalized when it counted, unfortunately still lost to the Warriors by five.

I agree on Luol Deng: “This is why you have preseason. … You learn from things like this.”

How they play is what meaningful. A preseason win or loss means nothing. Preseason is important to get better and improve and get the players ready and evaluated.

The Lakers still have two preseason games left. They will face the Warriors again. Then the Phoenix Suns will test the new age Lakers before the regular season tips off.

I hope the Lakers will win at least one game against the Warriors.

With Tarik Black, Brandon Ingram and Yi Jianlian signings on same week of this month, the Lakers are now having fifteen players, which is the maximum number allowed by the NBA. As such, the Lakers have effectively filled their roster for the 2016-17.

Now that Kobe Bryant has retired, what will the Lakers’ roster look like without him? Click the answer  here  and more.

The 2016-17 Los Angeles Lakers season is also the first season in the post-Kobe Bryant era without Bryant and first since the 1995-96 season.

The Kobe Bryant-less roster tips off at Staples Center on May 26 against the Houston Rockets.

I have been very emotional watching Kobe Bryant’s remaining games up to the last one left in his career. I do not know but I think it’s even harder to see the Lakers playing this time with no Kobe Bryant already.

The league will not be the same without him, but I am still a die hard Laker fan.

The Kobe Bryant-less Lakers Tip Off and 2016-17 Schedule

The Kobe Bryant-less roster tips off at Staples Center on October 26 against the Houston Rockets. Life without the Black Mamba is now a reality for the LA Lakers.

The No. 2 pick Brandon Ingram and No. 32 Ivica Zubac of the 2016 NBA Draft, Coach Luke Walton, Timofey Mozgov, Luol Deng and Jose Calderon will make their debut in purple and gold.

Fourteen of their games will be nationally televised and we sure do not want to miss some of this season’s highlights:

Nov. 4 vs. GSW- Kevin Durant as a warrior debut at Staples Center.

Dec. 16 and PHI: fans of these two teams will finally see the No. 1 pick Brandon Ingram and No. 2 pick Ben Simmons competing for the first time in the regular season of the NBA.

Dec. 25 VS. LAC: Lakers will play at home on Christmas Day for the second straight year. But before that, the boys will be on the road for twelve days. Eastern Conference’s top three playoff seeds from last year: Cleveland, Miami and Toronto as their opponents will highlight their games away from Los Angeles.

Feb. 3 and BOS: NBA’s greatest rival teams collide. The two greatest franchises in the NBA as well. One of the Lakers’ annual Grammy road trip highlights will be this this game.

March 19 vs. CLE: LeBron and the defending champs come to Los Angeles for the only time.

We have pictured a roster without Magic Johnson, Kareem Abdul Jabbar, Shaquille O’Neil, etc.  I think we can picture one without Kobe Bryant.  But he will forever be missed.  Let’s go Lakers!

Why I picked Gerald Green in my NBA Fantasy league! Latest Highlights inside

Gerald Green

Gerald Green has revived his NBA career with the Phoenix Suns, but since he got traded to Miami expect that it can only get better barring any injuries, Green was able produce a career best average during the 2013-2014 NBA season with the Phoenix Suns.

2013-2014 Green played all games 28.4 MPG 15.8 PPG 40% from 3 pt range, 84.8% FT, almost 4 RBG and a steal or a block. Green will have a significant role with this Heat Squad providing minutes for Dwade and Loul Deng, I wont be surprised if Gerald can average better this year with probably easier schedule as compared to the West.

Here is the highlight of his game vs Atlanta Hawks: 19 pts he was a key part of their Victory to give the Hawks their first pre-season lost.  Score Heat – 101 Hawks 92

What are you waiting for if you still have a slot in your fantasy better get your hands on Green before snatches him away.
