Othyus Jeffers, Ginebra’s Defensive Import

We were surprised by how the Barangay Ginebra ended their campaign in the current conference, being beaten by the Global Port Batang Pier in the do or die game with a controversial end game call which caught the attention of the masses and sports fans. After nearly ending current conference the Barangay Ginebra San Miguel will be back on February 12 for their first game in the 2016 PBA Commissioner’s Cup with their Import Othyus Jeffers.

Jeffers had stints with three NBA teams : The Utah Jazz, San Antonio Spurs and Washington Wizards. The former 2014 NBA D-League MVP is set to bring with him his defensive style kind of basketball in the PBA as many have noticed in the recent Tune Up game that they had, he displayed  his  very good defensive skills and continuously grasping the very complicated offensive style of Coach Team Cone.  Othyus Jeffers also  signed with the Talk ‘N Text Tropang Texters for the 2014 PBA Governors’ Cup. He made his one and only appearance for Talk ‘N Text on May 21 as he recorded
38 points, 13 rebounds and 2 steals in the 105-99 win over Meralco Bolts.
