Both the Temple Owls and the Memphis Tigers are 8-2 this season in college football. They battle this Saturday at noon (E.S.T.) at Lincoln Financial Field in Philadelphia in a home game for the Owls.
Temple wants to go to the American Athletic Conference title game on December 5th. Another loss could put South Florida there instead. USF defeated Temple 44-23 last Saturday at South Florida.
Memphis is eliminated from AAC West contention but a win over Temple on Saturday could improve its bowl position at the end of the regular season.
Both teams could potentially get into a New Year’s Six bowl game with a win, but they would need help from other teams in the next three weeks for that to happen.
