Mayor Rockey D. Ilagan works hard to bring sport tourism content to Puerto Galera. Listed one of the Most Beautiful Bays of the World, Puerto Galera is rich with coral reef diving spots. UGB 20 is a different type of active tourism for Puerto Galera to ramain as the Summer Capital of Southern Luzon in the Philippines.

UGB owner and founder Ferdinand Abadilla Munsayac is also aiming to deliver another spectacle which not only showcases fighting talents but gives the fans a show and relaxed atmosphere, a different atmosphere, to the usual MMA shows. The retired US Navy chief’s primary goal is ‭ ‬to help the young, poverty-stricken but skilled boxers/Muay Thai/Jiu Jitsu and MMA fighters develop their craft so that they would be able to provide a brighter future anchored on the advocacy – “Beating Up Poverty” which in itself is a commendable goal. His deep sense of his Filipino heritage which he has reflected alongside with his fundamental mission, is not just to grow the UGB MMA brand but to reinforce his commitment to the Filipino fighters, come from the fringes of poverty-stricken family backgrounds.

Check out the knockout of the night by Don Tagalog, representing The Den Mnl.

The Lightweight fight between Don Tagalog and Jiwon Yang, only lasted for about 10 seconds in the first round.

Don, came out aggressive and started throwing heavy punches right after they touched gloves. It was a flash-knock out when Don Tagalog landed a solid right cross. The referee, came to the rescue and immediately stopped the fight when Jiwon Yang fell down and lost his consciousness for a few seconds.
Jiwon Yang, initially protested the early stoppage but eventually accepted the right call by the referee.
It was absolutely an impressive debut for Don Tagalog!

Willie John EE wins the inaugural Predator Flyweight Championship. It was a quick but very exciting fight between Willie John EE of Sucuri MMA  and Kushal Vyas who came all the way from India.

Willie started by throwing several leg kicks but Kushal seemed to be OK as he was trying to look for an opening to land his knockout punch.
The boxer from India, however, didn’t have a chance to set up his knockout blow as he was taken down when he moved closer hoping to land a solid right cross. Willie nicely taken down Kushal and mounted him. Kushahal was on a full guard while Willie trying to soften him up with some ground and pound and while working his way through side control. Kuhsal was able to momentarily get away from the ground and pound as Willie lost the mount position, however, after throwing 3 kicks to the leg he was able to get a knee-on-a belly position that leads him to full mount. Then the rest was history!   Willie John EE wins the first every Predator Flyweight belt by an arm bar!

The future is looking good for this young talented and enthusiastic fighter from Lucena, Quezon. I’m sure the title defense is going to be as exciting as this first flyweight championship fight, or maybe even more exciting! Let’s all wait and see.
