fight night
Results of UFC Fight Night 93: Arlovski vs. Barnett
UFC Fight Night: Arlovski vs. Barnett aka UFC Hamburg took place at Barclaycard Arena in Hamburg, Germany on September 3, 2016.
The maint event fighters Andrei Arlovski and Josh Barnett exchanged shots with them as heavy as during the first round with some knockdowns. Barnett’s eye was poked and I think that’s what turned the ‘Warmaster’ wild. He took Arlovski down to the mat where he submitted him with a rear naked choke. Arlovski was forced to tapped out.
I saw too much wrestling in the co-main event as well. Alexander Gustafsson Jan Blachowicz punished alot on the mat. The ground and pound game resulted to a unanimous decision by the ‘Mauler’. Could’ve been better if the fight was stand up though.
Ryan Bader’s knee to the face on Ilir Latifi was the knockout of the night for me! Darth pulls off a Mark Hunt KO’s walk off there. There were moments they exchange. Latifi also took Bader down but could not keep for long. Latifi was put to sleep.

Results UFC Salt Lake City: Yair Rodriguez vs Alex Caceres
Featherweight prospects Yair Rodriguez and Alex Caceres headlined UFC Fight Night 92 in Salt Lake City on Saturday.
Pantera clearly won in my scorecard. His spun with kicks were very entertaining to watch. Bruce Leeroy has better hands, took the last minute of the third round though. Their fight was an excellent exhibition of two skilled new talents. Great fight and probably one of the best I have ever seen! Your thoughts people about the decision?
Everybody thought Rony Jason had Dennis Bermudez for a choke for a second but the defense was good. Dennis Bermudez won over jiu-jitsu skilled Rony Jason in a bloody fight by unanimous decision. The ‘manace’ called out to challenge Frankie Edgar at UFC 205 in MSG. The first UFC event to be hosted in New York City.
Not many heavyweights can do what Marcin Tybura devastatingly did to Viktor Pesta. In 53 seconds of round 2, he knocked out his opponent with a walkoff head kick. And not many first-timers can make their UFC debut a victorious one. Danielle Taylor lost to Maryna Moroz in Strawweight bout.
The No. 5 Cub Swanson is about to move on up as he won and the fight was his 30th in his pro MMA career. Congratulations to the ‘Killer Cub’. 2nd most in UFC Featherweight history. His fight was also relentless that it should have been in the main card.
Yair Rodriguez vs. Alex Caceres took the Fight of the Night bonus, while the Performance (s) of the Night bonus went to Marcin Tybura and Teruto Ishihara.
The results of UFC Fight Night 92 line up are:
Featherweight: Yair Rodríguez def Alex Caceres by SD

Again, Happy UFC Fight Week MMA fans! Remember it is a three-night event and this is just second of the three fight cards in three nights!
It’s That Time Again
Seems like UFC Fight Night 66 was just yesterday I was at the MOA Arena watching Philippe Nover working on the ground against Yui Chul Nam, Retiring Mark Munoz dominating Luke Barnatt to land takedowns, Neil Magny pounding Hyun Gyu Lim on the ground with hammer, Gegard Mousasi outgrappling Costas Phillipou and Frankie Edgar outscoring Uriah Faber.

I supposed UFC to hold the fight night event on its 1-year anniversary on May 2016. No news came out so I thought there would be no UFC coming back to Manila. This October, the wait is finally over for me and the rest of MMA fans!
Hopefully Brian Ortega-Yair Rodriguez, Neil Magny-Carlos Condit, Thiago Santos-Dan Hendo and Jon Jones-Anthony Johnson (main event) will be in the card. As a MMA fan that’s a dream match. Would be great also for Team Lakay’s world class fighters Mark Eddiva and Roland Sangcha-an to bounce back and still represent the Philippines inside the Octagon.
Meanwhile, I want to hear MMA fans’ dream fight they would like to see since the full card is not yet announced.
