Boxing Kontra Droga: Magramo brothers in spotlight

Jhonny Elorde Promotions released another fight card that will give spot light to Magramo brothers and will feature also Philippine championship fight at The Flash Grand Ballroom of the Elorde Sports Complex in Paranaque City, Metro Manila on July 16th. 
Magramo family known as “skull and bones family”. They earned the monicker because early Magramos who represented Philippines in world of boxing are all brawlers from Ric Magramo, Ric Jr,Ronnie and Melvin. The bloodline of Magramo boxing family is still continuing up to this day. The latest Magramos who representing their family and Philippines are Giemel and Arvin Magramo both son of Melvin Magramo
Undefeated Giemel “Pistolero” Magramo (16-0,13) will defend his WBC flyweight International title for the first time against former title holder of the same belt Renz “Jaguar” Rosia (12-4,6)
Giemel Magramo won the title last December 2015 by beating heavy handed Jenny Boy Buca (10-2,10) via 6th round stoppage and he is coming off 4th round Technical decision win over Indonesian Junior Bajawa last March. As for Rosia he fought for the IBO world title against Moruthi Mthalane last December 2015 in South Africa but fell short against the veteran world champion.
Giemel’s younger brother Arvin Magramo will also see in action. He will turn pro and will take on experienced foe Robert Mendano.
“Arvin is a good fighter, he has speed, footwork and side to side movement, he is no big puncher unlike his older brother but he can still improve. He is still young i think 18 years of age” said Jay Ar Ballaran (Magramo family’s friend)
The fight card will also feature Philippines Games & Amusement Board (GAB) bantamweight title fight between Glenn Suminguit (18-2,9) and Alvin Bais (15-6-1,4)
