THE DECISION: Kevin Durant Leaves the Thunder, Joins the Warriors

The Decision. Its final, Kevin Durant is leaving the Oklahoma City Thunder and is going to play for the Golden State Warriors, After playing his entire nine season with the Thunder, the NBA superstar is now joining the Warriors to have a shot with a ring. The deal were reported to be a two-year, $54.3 million. so it’s not a long term deal and will depend on the Warrior’s success in the coming two years.

Kevin Durant, the 2014 NBA MVP, has career averages of 27.4 points, 7 rebounds, 3.7 assists, 1.2 steals and 1 block with the Oklahoma City Thunder. The seven-time all star averaged 28.2 points, 8.2 rebounds, 5 assists, 1 steal and 1.2 blocks in 35.8 minutes of action per game but failed to make the finals after dropping a commanding 3-1 lead that made Durant decide to leave the Thunder.

The Thunder made an early pitch to re-sign Durant a couple of weeks ago by trading Serge Ibaka for Victor Oladipo, Ersan Ilyasova and 11th overall pick of the 2016 NBA draft, Domantas Sabonis.

Meanwhile, the Warriors are expected to trade Andrew Bogut to the Mavericks  for a second round pick and let Harrison Barnes sign with the Mavericks also to clear cap space and sign Durant which is a big gamble to Warriors chemistry.
