Two world rated Filipino boxers were slated to fight in Albert Pagara- Cesar Juarez undercard at the San Mateo Events Center in San Mateo California,
The first is his older brother, the WBO Jr. Welterweight no.1 contender Jason “El Niño” Pagara. Pagara whose record is 38 wins with 22 KOs and 2 defeats. had been unbeaten since year 2012 and his last setback was a Decision lost against Mexican Rosbel Montaya. He is looking for a big fight since he is the number 1 contender for Terrence Crawford’s WBO title. He is 5 years older than Albert.
The other Filipino that will fight in undercard is the newly crowned WBO NABO and WBC Fecarbox flyweight Champion Jobert “Liitle Pacman” Alvarez (15W-1D-1L,7KOs). He is coming off an impressive 6th round KO against Puerto Rican Jonathan “Bomba” Gonzalez at the Coliseo Mario ‘Quijote’ Morales in Guaynabo, Puerto Rico on March 20 2016. He trains under Nonito “Dodong” Donaire Sr. father of 5 division World champion Nonito Donaire Jr at Donaire’s Boxing and Fitness Gym in Oakland, California.Alvarez lone defeat was a highly controversial ten round decision against Unified WBO-WBA Juan Francisco Estrada in Sonora, Mexico on December 6, 2014.
