"The Greatest" Muhammad Ali dies at 74

Muhammad Ali, the greatest world heavyweight, has died. He was 74. He died from respiratory complications, reports NBC News. He suffered from Parkinson’s disease. He was diagnosed with Parkinson’s syndrome (a similar condition often caused by trauma to the head) in 1984, but was diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease proper when his conditions persisted.
He was hospitalised in Phoenix, Arizona, with respiratory problems earlier this week, and his family gathered around him. He died on Friday night, according to a statement from the family. Ali’s family said his funeral would be held in his hometown of Louisville, Kentucky, and thanked the public for their outpouring of support.
