ALA Promotions is working on rematch between Milan Melindo-Javier Mendoza to be held in Bacolod on May 28 under Donnie Nietes title defense against Raul Garcia.
Melindo and Mendoza first squared off last May 30th in Baja California Mexico, that fight was Javier Mendoza’s title defense against Melindo (Mendoza lost the IBF strap to Akira Yaegashi)
. Melindo lost to Mendoza by the way of controversial 6th round Technical Decision due to huge cut above Mendoza’s eye that was came from a punch follow by a head clash and later discovered the issue on the ring size of the fight which is smaller compare to a regular ring size obviously to lessen the foot work of the very technical fighter Melindo.
The rematch will also going to be an IBF light flyweight title eliminator with the winner will earn a mandatory title shot against the current IBF champ Akira Yaegashi of Japan.
