Mickey Garcia is Open to Face the Winner of Crawford-Indongo Fight.

WBC Lightweight world champion Mickey Garcia (36-0,30KOs) is open to idea of facing the winner of Super lightweigh

world title unification match between IBF/WBA/IBO champion Julius Indongo of Namibia and WBO/WBC champion Terrence Crawford of Omaha Nebraska if he won’t get title unification fight with WBA champion Jorger Linares.

“My initial plan is to come back down to unify the titles, I would really like to unify lightweight and become the man, the king of the division before I move up. Taking this fight with Adrien Broner is a very interesting fight and I wasn’t able to secure any unification fights at the moment.”

“The options are going to be big after this fight, so I would definitely look at fighting the winner of Crawford-Indongo and those sort of fights. We have to be flexible and adjust and adapt with the business and move on. We can’t sit around waiting, waiting and waiting, I need to be taking control with my career and take it forward. I want to take on Linares after this,” Garcia told Sky Sports.

Linares is the reigning WBA Lightweight champion and would probably back in action on September after WBA ordered him to face the mandatory challenger Luke Campbell of UK. Linares is also holds the WBA Diamond and The Ring Lineal Lightweight Titles.

Historic unification fight between Crawford and Indongo with WBC/WBO/WBA/IBF/IBO world titles on the line is scheduled on August 19 at Pinnacle Bank Arena in Lincoln Nebraska

Randy Couture: McGregor won’t get knocked out

Former UFC Champion Randy Couture believes that Conor McGregor will not be an easy opponent for Floyd Mayweather.

“McGregor won’t get knocked out,” Couture told Sky Sports. “He’s younger, he’s bigger, he’s unorthodox as a southpaw. He won’t throw things that Mayweather is used to seeing.”

His fellow Mixed Martial Artist McGregor will be fighting boxing superstar Floyd Mayweather in a boxing fight at 154 pounds limit. Couture reflects on his fight with former boxing world champion James Toney where he beat Toney via first round submission in 2010 (but the fight was happened inside the octagon not in boxing ring)

“Comparing boxing and MMA has been going on since the creation of mixed martial arts, but they’re apples and oranges,” Couture said. “I absolutely had the entire burden of the question pitting MMA against boxing. I began fighting in 1997 and those comparisons were being asked, so I felt pressure. It’s something I took seriously because I was happy to represent MMA in that match. I was proud to get the job done.”

“The real question was: how much MMA would he be able to learn in the four months that he had to prepare? That was answered pretty quickly on fight night. I wasn’t silly enough to test James Toney’s hands while wearing 4oz gloves. That would have been ludicrous. I needed to avoid getting caught by James Toney as I tried to shoot in and get my hands on him. The transition that would have been the most horrible for me was if he rolled his shoulders, threw a hook, or caught me with an uppercut. “

“I fashioned a game-plan to put him in as many MMA positions as possible, and to keep him away from the boxing part of MMA. I certainly respected him as a boxer, he had tons of skills.”

The good thing is that there are a lot of options. The opportunity to fight for the third time this year with the backing of HBO is open, but there is also a chance to have a fight in Mexico,” Berchelt revealed to ESPN Deportes.

“There are many names that I can show that I’m the best 130 pounder in the world,” Berchelt said.

Meanwhile former world champion and could be the next opponent of Berchelt the former world champion and WBC#5 Jhonny Gonzalez has shown interest to face Berchelt next after his second round ko win of Filipino Jessie Cris Rosales yesterday in Chihuahua Mexico.

“I’ve felt a bit underrated, but I’ve already been talking to the WBC. I’m number five in the division, because with a win the opportunity to compete for a world title is closer,” Gonzalez explained.

“I was telling Tony,’what do you want to do? Do you want to continue fighting rematches with Paez Jr and everybody is going to laugh and write bad things about it. If you want to just fight and make this kind of money, over $200,000 a fight, you can fight five times and make over a million dollars. Are you looking to hopefully get a big fight? What do you want to do?'”

“If he can’t beat a Carson Jones, there’s no way he should be in the ring with guys who are even better than him. So Toney said,’OK, let’s do this.”

“It has to be this type of opponent. Tony really hates when they write negative things about him, well, he’s now in a real fight,”Diaz stated.”There’s still going to be some negative stuff but there will be some positive.” –Sergio Diaz

Some social media website from Australia has reported that Jeff Horn – Manny Pacquiao rematch is already done for November at Brisbane Entertainment Center but there are no official statement coming from both sides to confirm the rumor.

“Obviously we are looking at the rematch if Pacquiao wants it but if not, I’ve made it open out there that I’d definitely like to take on Floyd Mayweather if he wants to come back and have a proper boxing match with someone. Then unifying the division obviously is another goal of mine,” Horn told Brian Campbell of CBS Sports.

“I don’t think [McGregor] has much chance, that’s for sure. Obviously he has a puncher’s chance. In any fighting sport, if you land the right shot I guess Mayweather can go down, but I highly doubt he can connect with anything at all.”
“I think I will definitely step up better but then again Pacquiao might come up and fight even harder again. Who knows? There will be fireworks once again if we get Pac-Horn II.”
