Kosei Tanaka and Yukinori Oguni set to defend World Titles on Sept. 13

Kosei Tanaka

WBO light flyweight world champion Kosei Tanaka (9-0.5KOs) will defend his title against Thai Rangsan Chayanram a.k.a Palangpol CP Freshmart (14-1,8 KOs). In the main event IBF Super bantamweight world champion Yukinori Oguni (19-1-1,7 KOs) will make his first title defense against fellow Japanese Ryosuke Iwasa (23-2,15KOs) on Sept. 13 at EDION Arena in Osaka Japan.

Only 22 year-old Tanaka of Nagoya Japan has already captured two world titles in two weight divisions (105 pounds-108 pounds). He is coming off decisive unanimous decision win over heavy handed Puerto Rican Angel Acosta on May in Nagoya.  He is looking to unify his title with other champions later this year considering his win over Thai challenger.

Oguni captured the title last December, defeating previously unbeaten Dominican Republic’s KO artist Jonathan Guzman . He is looking to get revenge to IBF number 3 contender Ryosuke Iwasa on their rematch now in professional boxing. The two fought as amateurs when they were in high school where Oguni suffered defeat to Iwasa.
