Wanheng Menayothin beats Abcede moves to 47-0

Reigning WBC minimumweight world champion Wanheng Menayothin of Thailand beat Filipino boxer Jaysever Abcede over six in a non-title affair fight to improve his record to 47-0 earlier in Bankok Thailand.
After a close first two rounds, Wanheng took over as he used his fine defensive skills to make Abcede miss badly and his excellent counter punching to catch the Filipino with sharp eye catching counters upstairs and downstairs. The two went toe to toe in the sixth and final round but it was the Thai who outpunched his Filipino foe as he landed several big shots on Abcede.
In the main event, Thai teenager Singsayan CP Freshmart retained his WBC Youth super flyweight title with a 10 rounds unanimous win over Filipino Joe Tejones. All three judges had it 97-93 for the Thai. In a close fight, Tejones seemed to be the harder puncher and had Singsayan in some trouble in the 7th but Singsayan landed the cleaner shots and pounded Tejones to the body which clearly slowed him down.
