Globalport blow a 26 point-lead, Late surge from Phoenix and Winning tip in from Mark Borboran led Phoenix to Victory

Mark Borboran tipped in a missed shot of Simon Encisco to lead the Phoenix Fuelmasters to a 101-99 victory over the Globalport. The Phoenix Fuelmasters are now in a two-game winning streak.

Mark Borboran led the Fuelmasters with 21 points and 7 rebounds in a 8/12 field goals made.

Globalport led almost the whole game leading 84-61 at the end of the 3rd quarter. Romeo scored 24 points while the Phoenix rookie Matthew Wright led Fuelmasters with 15 points and 6 rebounds in a 3/6 three point field goals.

The momentum changed when Phoenix Fuelmasters clawed their way back to the game and slowly erasing the 26 point lead of Globalport. Cyrus Baguio led the surge as he scored seven straight points for Phoenix cutting the lead to just three points with less than two minutes in the 4th quarter. JC Intal also made a crucial layup that took the lead from Globalport. Terrence Romeo was sent to the free throw line after he was fouled at the three point line and was able to convert all the three shots tying the game. Phoenix took a time out and drawn a play that opened up a shot for Encisco but he missed but Borboran was ready to tip it back in that led Phoenix 101-99.

The Globalport had a final chance to win the game but Terrence Romeo shot an air-ball in his last attempt.

Terrence Romeo led Globalport with 32 points 9 assists in a 6/12 shooting beyond the arc. Globalport Batang Pier are now 3-3 and in a two-game losing skid.
