Jon Tuck set to compete in UFC FIGHT NIGHT®Melbourne: ROCKHOLD vs JACARE 2

UFC officials have announced a dynamic three-round lightweight match up between Guamanian Jon “The Super Saiyan” Tuck (9-3-0, fighting out of Hagatna, Guam) and Aussie Damien “Beatdown” Brown (16-9-0, fighting out of Brisbane, Australia) which will be featured in the upcoming UFC FIGHT NIGHT® Melbourne: ROCKHOLD vs JACARE 2.
Guam’s Tuck has demonstrated a virtually well rounded mixed martial arts (MMA) pedigree since making his highly anticipated UFC debut in 2012. Through his 6 fights with the world’s premier MMA organization, Tuck has proven he can hang with the best of them, going 3-3 in that stint. However, come fight night, Tuck is eager to cement his place as one the best 155-pound fighters in the sport and he is more than willing to do it at the expense of a hometown hero.
His opponent Damien Brown is former infantryman who has won majority of his 16 career victories via submission. He has recently shown an improved striking skill set after coming off a first-round knockout performance in UFC 201. Now that he has earned his first UFC win, the Brisbane native is very excited to put on another beatdown on a UFC veteran and a memorable performance in front of his friends and family.
UFC FIGHT NIGHT® Melbourne: ROCKHOLD vs JACARE 2 will be headlined by an epic middleweight rematch between former foes Luke Rockhold (15-3-0, fighting out of San Jose, California USA) and Ronaldo “Jacare” Souza (23-4-0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil). The former UFC middleweight champion Rockhold, is searching for his first win since losing the belt, while his rival Souza will look to make another statement in this five-round fight with heavy title implications.
