Joe Misako Noynay wants a rematch!

Wednesday night at Mall of Asia in Pasay City, Joe “Misako” Noynay who is battling for the WBC International Super bantamweight title for the second time has taste defeat for the first time of his career over tough Richard Pumicpic. The fight was stopped in 8th round due to bad cut on Pumicpic’s forehead and eye caused by accidental headbutt (Noynay was deducted 1 point in round 6 due to headbutt). All judges favored the more agressive boxer Richard Pumicpic scoring 76-75 (3X). Pumicpic unexpectedly earned the WBC International Super bantamweight title but the previously unbeaten boxer Joe “Misako” Noynay told us in an interview what he thinks really happened.

“Sa suntok talaga galing yon, hindi sa headbutt pero wala tayong magawa kung yon ang desisyon ng referee” Noynay said confidently

“Unang talo ko to, balik ako sa training kung gusto nya ng rematch walang problema, magrematch kami!” He added.

Noynay is the current WBC-EPBC Superbantamweight champion with a record of 10 wins (3KO’s)-1 defeat-1 draw. His first WBC International fight was against Alie Laurel, the fight ended up in a controversial draw last February 18.
