I have not seen the official announcement but I am guessing that the coverage of the 2014 FIBA World Cup will be shown on TV5 for obvious reasons. The main financer of the Philippines Team is Manny Pangilinan and this guy own TV5, which in the past have been carrying the the games of the Philippines team since the inception of the Gilas squad, it is but a good assumption that they will make sure they get official coverage license for the biggest basketball tournament that the Philippines will be attending to since, I don’t even remember when.
